So, lately I’ve been reminded how much Gibson is clearly MY son. For example:

- he loves movies, especially at “movie feeters” (movie theaters)
- he makes weird faces all the time, especially in pictures
- he belly laughs at his own farts
- he loves his bed
- he doesn’t know a stranger… everybody is his friend.
- he never stops talking
- he craves Skyline and Bill’s Donuts
- when pooping, he demands a guitar magazine as his reading material of choice
- he has to bob his head when jammin’ to his tunes
- last but not least, he loves his mom

This kid is clearly MY son…poor guy.

…perfect timing…

I can’t even explain how perfect the timing is for a family vacation!!! We’ve been running ragged for about the last month and we are so ready for a good break in this crazy pace.

We’re loading up the van and heading to the beaches of Destin, FL. Every year for the past few years, Amber’s parents have paid for the whole family to go down to FL together. All we have to pay for is gas and food. Yeah, that’s a sweet gig! This year, we even get a condo across the street from the beach…all to ourselves!

So bring on the sunshine, sand, ocean waves, swim trunks, sun screen and sunburn! We couldn’t be more ready! :o)

And just think…this time next year, we’ll be taking another child with us on family vacation…oh man, I can’t wait!!!

Please mark your calendars for Friday, May 2nd - 7pm. We’ll be having a benefit concert for our upcoming adoption. It will feature my band, charis, and the debut performance of blackburn. It’ll be a night to hear some good music, how God has led Amber and I to adopt, and how you can possibly help. Please come!!!!!!!
