I’m pretty excited to announce that, as a birthday gift to each other, Amber and I will be here August 31st!!!

Happy birthday to us!

I just read about this today and gee golly am I excited! 3 of my favorite bands joining together on the same stage. It’s sure to be a “sweet to the ear” and “good for the heart” event.

It just makes me want to say things like “woot” and “booyah”. Possibly even “badness” and “holla”.
(yes, that’s a horrible combination of white boy ebonics and the worst of 80’s & 90’s jargon)

In the past month, my eyes and ears have been exposed to the following:

Coldplay - X & Y - simply marvelous! Quite possibly the best album of the year. I can’t stop listening.

The Longest Yard - hilarious! Sandler & Rock are a great duo.

Phantom of the Opera (DVD) - 2 hrs. of my life I can’t get back. I’ve seen the stage show twice and loved it…but this movie was just boring.

Sex for Dummies - God’s view on sex spoken by a great servant - so challenging!

Luke - the life of Jesus is the most life changing thing I can ever read.

Mat Kearney - Bullet - great chill music. (Gibson got this CD for Amber for mother’s day)

Gibson’s new cries - both adorable and unnerving at the same time

Challenging conversation with Amber - she helps me so much in my pursuit to be a godly husband and father.

musical surprise from an assimilation pastor - who would’ve known that Dave Dorr could play guitar and sing…well play guitar at least.
